Dorothy "Marie" Scheenen

Dorothy "Marie" Scheenen, age 56 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

Marie was born in Flint, Michigan on January 17, 1965 to Merle and Patricia (Beek) Ingleston. She worked for Wal-Mart for over 20 years, and volunteered to help raise money for Lydia’s Gate in Mio. Marie loved to garden and make crafts for her yard. She also loved dressing up and celebrating holidays. She enjoyed going down river and having bonfires with family and friends.

Marie is survived by her mother Patricia Colley; her daughter Amanda Scheenen (Adam Brusch); her sister Tina Richards of Flint, MI; her brother Frankie (Chris) Ingleston of Flint, MI; her brother-in-law George Smith; 4 grandchildren: Preston Brusch, Kiely Craig, Emily Brusch, and Jodi Brusch; 2 great-grandchildren; her best friend Thomas Sutton of Mio, MI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Merle Ingleston, her step-father Charles Colley II; and her sister Betty Ann Smith.

She was loved by her family and many dear friends.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 11 AM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan, with Pastor Kevin Salsbury officiating.
