Doris M. Mast

Doris Maxine Mast, 88, of Rose City, formerly of Fairview, MI, wife of the late Oscar Mast, passed away Friday, January 10th, at Bortz Health Care of Rose City. She was born in Flynn Valley, MI on September 3, 1925 to Lloyd Leland and Ila Mae (Conrad) Bugg.
Doris graduated from Fairview High School and married Oscar Mast on November 19, 1945. She spent her early married life raising three children. Her working days were spent at Dr. Palmer’s Office, U.S. Post Office in Comins and in the Kitchen of the AuSable Valley Nursing Home. Her hobbies included sewing, raising irises and berry picking.
Doris is survived by her three children: Gary (Carole) Mast, Gloria (Donald) Gusler and Michael (Margaret) Mast; grandchildren: Kimberly (Mast) Bresnig, Bradley (YingYing) Mast, Christopher (Rebecca) Mast, Andrea (John) Shoaf, Jeffrey (Karla) Gusler and Gregory (Rachel) Mast; great grandchildren: Jakob and Ryan Bresnig, Anthony, Aaron and Andrew Mast, Jennifer, Kristin, Allison and Jacob Shoaf, and Alex and Julianna Gusler. She is also survived by four sisters, one brother and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation Monday, January 13, 2014 from 12:00 Noon until the time of Funeral Services at 4:00 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, with Pastor Mike Stadelmayer officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview.
