Donna J. Larrison

Donna J. Larrison, age 87 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at The Home at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Fairview on Saturday, December 13, 2014.
Donna was born in Tawas City, Michigan on February 28, 1927 to Frank and Mildred (Alderton) Arthur, the only one of her sisters born in the hospital, not at home. Together with her husband Joseph Larrison, Donna owned and operated Larrison Funeral Home and Ambulance Service from 1950 - 1981. She was a member of the Mio Rebekah Lodge #16, and had served as Rebekah State President and as International President. She was an active member of the Mio United Methodist Church; and had volunteered with her husband Joe for 12 years at Tolfree Free Hospital/West Branch Regional Medical Center, and remained active in the community all of her life. Donna will always be remembered as a gracious lady with a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor.
Donna is survived by her children: Mike (Pam) Larrison of Rose City, MI and Dave (Martha) Larrison of Mio, MI; her son-in-law Terry Burrus of Virginia Beach, VA; her sisters: Nancy McKim and Wilda Rozyla; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joe in 2013; her daughter Jodi Larrison Burrus; and 1 sister.
Visitation on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 1-4 and 6-9 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home with a Rebekah Service at 7 PM; and again on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 11 AM at the Mio United Methodist Church, Mio, Michigan with Rev. Brenda Klacking officiating. Interment at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan, following the Funeral Service.
