Donald E. Weaver Sr

Donald E. Weaver, Sr., age 88 of Fairview, Michigan, passed away at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord, MI on Thursday, November 17,2016.
Donald was born in Hesston, Kansas on July 25, 1928 to Lester and Alma (Camps) Weaver.  He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War, and settled in Michigan in the late 1950’s. He married Marlene on June 6, 1959 in Lincoln Park, MI. Don worked for Ford Motor Company, Rouge Plant, in Dearborn, MI, retiring in 1990. The couple retired to Fairview.  Don was a member of the Comins Eagles Club, the Luzerne VFW, the Michigan Turkey Federation and the Michigan Woodcarvers Association. He enjoyed woodcarving.

Donald is survived by his wife Marlene J. Weaver of Fairview, MI; his children: Donald (Dinna) Weaver, Jr. of Comins, MI; Allen Turner of Arizona; Lawrence Turner of California; and Francis (Tammy) Turner of Florida; his grandchildren: Mark Turner, Leighton Turner, John Davidson, Randall Nash, and Christopher Ricketson; his brother Clifford (Joyce) Weaver of Texas; 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
