Donald E. Robinson

Mr. Donald E. Robinson, age 93, of Fairview and Mio, formerly of Northville, MI, passed away Wednesday July 30, 2008 at his home.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service has been planned at the Mio United Methodist Church on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 1 P.M. with Pastor Marcel Lamb officiating. Burial of ashes with Military Honors offered by VietNam Veteran's Chapter # 640 and The Owosso American Legion Post # 57, under the direction of Commander Howard Hosking, will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Owosso, Ml on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 1 P.M.
Mr. Robinson was born on September 20, 1914 in Detroit, Ml to Claude and Faye (Dagget) Robinson. In his youth, he lived in Plymouth and Northville, graduating from Northville High School in 1930. He married Rebecca (Lord) Robinson on December 23, 1940 in Owosso, Ml. Donald served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. In 1946, he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University. He became District Manger of White Rogers Electric; later owning and operating, with his wife Becky, Mobil Temp; a company that manufactured mobile water heaters in headquartered Brighton, Ml, with a sales office in Los Angeles, CA. They sold their business and retired in 1968. The couple moved to Mio from Northville in 1975, later settling in Fairview. Donald was a member of the Mio United Methodist Church.
Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife Rebecca; his daughter Marnie O'Brien of Grayling; his grandchildren: Justin (Jennifer) O'Brien, Lorren (Kyle) Karns and Josh Stapleton and two step great-grandchildren: Austin and Alexis Bailey. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.
