Donald Roy Moore
Mr. Donald Roy Moore, age 67, of Mio, passed away Thursday, March 15th, 2007 at West Branch Regional Medical Center.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation Sunday, March 18, 2007, 1:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, with Pastor Mike Stadelmayer, of the Mio Church of God officiating.
Surviving are his wife Irene Louise (Denker) Moore; 3 children: Yvonne (Fred) Howland of West Branch, MI; Robert Moore of Stuart, FL and Michele (Jeff) Bugg of Guntersville, AL; 1 sister: Kay (Chuck) Brinley of Addison, MI; mother and father in law: Margaret and Walter Denker of Warren, MI; brothers in law: Mike (Belinda) Denker; Tom (Ronna) Denker and Patrick (Cindy) Denker and sister in law Sandra (John) Vercannen He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Mark and Jessica Howland, Taylor and Joshua Bugg; 1 expected great grandchild, many members of The Blamer Family and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Jeri (Blamer) Moore in 1972.
Donald was born on December 17, 1939 in Adrian, MI to the Late Donald J. & Charlotte M. (Wagner) Moore. He moved with his parents and family from Whitmore Lake, MI to Mio in 1953, later settling in Fairview, where he graduated from Fairview High School in 1957. He was a retired construction inspector for MDOTwhere he had worked for 37 years, a job he truly loved. He was a member of The Mio I.O.O.F. Lodge #413 and enjoyed playing hockey, competing in archery competitions, hunting, fly fishing and building and playing the organ.
