Dolores was born in Bay City, Michigan to parents Ray and Bertha Daggett. She was the youngest of 12 children. On January 1, 1954, she married James Lemon in Allegan, Michigan. They were blessed with four children and they raised one of their many nieces as their own. The family relocated to Mio in 1962, where Dolores resided until her passing.
Dolores was an avid gardener and reader, and she loved to bird watch. She was a dedicated Christian and active member of the Mio Seventh Day Adventist church, serving in several different church positions through the years. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Dolores will be remembered for her kindness and strength, and she will be missed dearly by all.
Dolores is survived by her children Cindy (Jerry) Zacharias, Steve (Debbie) Lemon, Cheri (Tim) Cox, Candy (Gary) Wood, niece she raised Gloria Green; her grandchildren Alysia (Andrew), Cassie, Zac, Stephanie (Don), Michael, Jason; her great grandchildren Chelsea (Nick), Kylee, Trenton, Alyssa, Aidan, Peyton, Callie, Macie, Kaelyn, Blaise, and her great great grandson Silas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, James Lemon, as well as 11 brothers and sisters, and her granddaughter Tonya.
Visitation 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio.
Visitation also Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of Funeral Services Service at 11:00 AM at The Mio Seventh-day Adventist Church, with Mr. Gary Wood and Mr. Steven Lemon officiating. Interment at Mentor Township Cemetery Mio, MI.
