Diana L. Ware

Diana L. Ware, age 65 of Mio, Michigan, formerly of Mt. Morris, Michigan, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
Diana was born in Flint, Michigan on June 13, 1956 to John and Lillian (Punches) Gunn. She was raised in Mt. Morris, Michigan and settled in Mio in 1983. Diana attended the Mio New Hope Assembly of God Church where she helped with the nursery. She was very strong in her faith. Diana was very family oriented-worrying about her family’s well-being. She was also an avid reader.
Diana is survived by her father: John “Jack” Gunn of Mio, MI; her daughter Mitzi Sunshine (Isreal) Soto of Mio, MI; 2 grandchildren: Titus Soto and Esther Jubilee Soto; 3 sisters: Lorna Carpenter of Flint, MI; Lori Merril of Mt. Morris, MI; and Susan (Chris) Hope of Fenton, MI; 3 nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Lillian Gunn and her brothers John Gunn and Chris Gunn.
Visitation on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 4 – 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI. On Monday, August 30, 2021 Visitation will also be held at Lashley Funeral Home from 1 PM until the time of Funeral Services at 2 PM with Pastor Al Eastman officiating. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow the services. Interment of ashes will take place at Kittle Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
