Dexter Lee Strunk

Dexter Lee Strunk, age 79, of Fairview, MI, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at his son's home in Richmond, MI.

Dexter was born in Corbin, Kentucky on October 13, 1939, a son of the late Fannie Mae (Stamper) and Ledford Strunk. He was raised in Pineville, KY and moved to Hazel Park, MI when he was 21. Dexter worked as a mechanic for The Pacific Cab Company in Royal Oak and later as a mechanic for Rochester Schools, retiring and moving to Fairview in 1997. He was a Member of The Mio Masonic Lodge #596 and attended Mio New Hope Assembly of God Church. Dexter enjoyed, horses, classic cars, street rods and motorcycles, being and active member and rider of Michigan Dressers.

He is survived by his children: Tammy (Mike) Hoffchild of Wasilla, AK, Ronnie Strunk of Lapeer, MI and Larry (Sue) of Richmond, MI; his brother Ronnie (Janet) Strunk of Troy, MI; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dexter was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mattie Sue Strunk and his brother Larry.

Visitation 3:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2019 from at The Lashley Funeral Home with a Masonic Service 7:00 PM offered by Mio Masonic Lodge 596. Funeral Services at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 with Pastor Ron Janiszewski officiating. In accordance with Dexters wishes, cremation will follow. Interment of ashes at The Fairview Cemetery Fairview, MI at a later date.
