Delphine I. Darling

Delphine Darling, age 87 of Comins, Michigan, passed away at her home on Monday, June 6, 2016.
Delphine was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on April 25, 1929 to Frank and Cecelia (Glugla) Plotzke. She was a Charter Member of the Comins Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Delphine enjoyed cooking, cake decorating, making chocolate molds, dressing dolls, playing BINGO and slot machines, and mailing greeting cards for everything. She was also the world’s biggest Elvis fan. She loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Delphine is survived by her children: Frank (Martha) Darling of Comins, MI; Cecelia (Roger) Price of Haslett, MI; Thomas (Carol) Darling of Sterling Heights, MI; Norbert “Bert” Darling of Comins, MI; and Barbara Darling of Grayling, MI; her brothers: George (Eugenia) Plotzke and Robert (Nancy) Plotzke; 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy Edward Darling, and her sister Geraldine Cominska.
Visitation on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 3 – 9 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI; and also on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Lashley Funeral Home from 12 Noon until Funeral Services at 1 PM with Pastor Cody Gascho officiating. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow the services.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
