Debra L. Jones

April 21, 1966 — February 11, 2020

Debra L. Jones, age 53 of Luzerne, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Debra was born in Highland Park, Michigan on April 21, 1966 to James W. and Helen L. (Abbott) Jones, Sr. She lived in Madison Heights, Michigan, and graduated from Lamphere High School. She worked for American Axle in Hamtramck for several years, then graduated from Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, as a CNA.  Debra worked for the Crawford Continuing Care Center in Grayling. She also volunteered for the American Red Cross of Traverse City and Angel Food Ministries at Mio Tri-Point Church of God. She enjoyed nature, camping, fishing, and motorcycle riding. Debra was very dedicated to her patients, and had a great love for her family. Debra is survived by her mother Helen Dean of Luzerne, MI and her father James W. Jones, Sr of St. Clair Shores, MI; her sons:  Robert W. Scarcella, Jr. of Lake City, MI; and Dennis James (Katherine) Scarcella of North Branch, MI; her brother James W. (Lee Ann) Jones, Jr. of  Lapeer, MI; her half-brother Justin “Jay” (Janee’) Jones of St. Clair Shores, MI; her step-sister Nicole (Brad) Regnaert of Florida; her step-brothers:  Edward (Stacey) Pasque of Florida, Scott D. (Kristi) Dean of Nashville, MI, and David Dean of Lansing, MI; and her granddaughter Octavia Scarcella and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents:  James V. (Eileen) Jones, Roy J. (Reta) Abbott, and Howard (Lenore) Dean; her step-father Dennis Dean and step-mother Cindy Jones.  In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned.  Memorial donations may be made to Tri-Point Church of God in Mio, MI.
