David Gene Popps

David Gene Popps 76 of Goodrich, Michigan passed away peacefully at his home on December 15, 2024.  He was born in West Branch, Michigan to Ezekiel and Joyce (Schrott) Popps on June 16, 1948.  David graduated from Mio Ausable school in 1966 and General Motors Institute (GMI), he retired from General Motors - Orion Assembly as an Electrical Engineer.  David was one of a kind - a master of all trades.  David is survived by his wife and best friend Linda, Son David Ryan Popps and his wife Jennifer Popps of Gladwin, his two grandsons Ryan Hager and Vince Popps.  Lisa Blair Popps of Goodrich.  Sister Beverly Keyser (Popps) and Dale Keyser.  Nephews Dustin Keyser (Erin) Keyser and their two children Great nephew Zeke and great nephew Eli.  Mother in Law Maysel Domroese, Sister in Law Bernadette Domroese, Nephew Bennie Domroese.  Sister in law Carla Rigsby,  Nephew Darrell Rigsby (Kelly) Great niece Lilly and Great Nephew Colton.  Niece Stephanie (Rigsby-Maas).  Brother in law Stanley Hughes (Lynn).  Preceded in Death by his Parents Ezekiel and Joyce, Father in Law Thomas Rigsby, Father in law Benjyman Domroese, Brother in law Darrell Rigsby.  David did not want a funeral and he was laid to rest at the Kittle Cemetery in Mio, Michigan on December 21, 2024, following a short graveside memorial with Pastor Santiago Hoyumpa officiating.
