David J. Kaiser, Sr.

David J. Kaiser, Sr., age 81 of Luzerne, Michigan, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 17, 2018.

David was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 19, 1937 to John and Helen (Pecha) Kaiser. He served his country as a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy, retiring after 20 years. David lived in Florida, where he worked in maintenance and refrigeration. He married Suzanne on October 4, 1996 in Eastpointe, MI. They moved to Luzerne in January of 1999. David liked keeping busy with his hands, reading his Bible, and helping people.

David is survived by his wife Suzanne; his children: David J. Kaiser, Jr., Candace Blankinship, Cherie Mooney, Kim Johnson, and Cindy (Tom) Sweat; his step-children: Michael (Carla) Badyna, David (Jennifer) Badyna, Georgiann (Michael) Creagh, and Joseph (Christina) Badyna; his sister Pauline Dowe; 3 grandchildren: Alexandra, Chelsea, and Amanda; and 10 step-grandchildren: Karl, Matthew, Jessica, Jaidyn, Luke, Mackenzie, Madison, Shane, Elise and Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepson Tom; his sisters Susan and Virginia; and his sons-in-law Lon Blankinship and Martin Mooney.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at The Fairview Mennonite Church on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Price and Mr. Ron Robison officiating.
