David Lee ""Trapper"" Gingerich, 57, of Pittsburg, Oklahoma, died July 23, 2011, at the Burris Valley Ranch in Pittsburg.
Born to Melvin and Sadie (Miller) Gingerich Sr September 20, 1953 in Chardon, Ohio. David worked as a carpenter, trapper and for the Burris Valley Ranch at Ti Valley.
He is survived by his mother Sadie of Mio, MI; son Nick Badgero of Mio; Brothers: Melvin Ray (Barbara) Gingerich of Mio, Paul Allen (Mary Ellen) Gingerich of Mio, and Jerry Jay (Ruth) Gingerich of Rexford, Montana; sisters: Ada Mae (Fred) Yoder, Esther Ann (Dennis) Schrock both of Salem, Missouri, Rhoda Jane (David) Miller of Sebree, Kentucky and Naomi Ruth (Rueben) Bontrager of Mio; along with many nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his father Melvin and brother James Edward Gingerich.
Service was held on Sunday, July 24, at 4:00 PM at Jack Ford Assembly of God Church in Oklahoma. Service here in Mio will be Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 9:30 a.m.at the Paul Gingerich residence, with burial to follow at the Elmer Township Amish Cemetery, Mio, MI. Active Pall bearers will be: James Gingerich, Joel Yoder, Jethro Shrock, Michael Gingerich, Kevin Miller and Steve Bontrager.
