Darla Jean Crowe

Darla Crowe passed away after a hard-fought battle of cancer, with her life partner Vicky Fowler by her side, in their home on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the age of 60.

Darla was born on December 3, 1959 to Jean Reed of Valpo, Indiana and the late Richard Crowe.

Dar will be deeply missed by her life partner of 30 years, Vicky; son Dean (Yvonne) Spitzer; her mother Jean Reed; her sister Denise (Pam) Maynard; her grandchildren Gauge and Bow Spitzer; and sister-in-law Kathy (Michael) Bujalski. Dar will forever be remembered as the fun-loving Aunt to Kelli (Graham) Maynard; Tonya (Terre) Rowden; Paul Rowden Jr; and Chelsea (Nick) Kalbfleisch; as well as Madelyn Kalbfleisch, Hayden Kalbfleisch; and Devon, Ava, Alexa, and Xander.

Darla enjoyed being outdoors with her family and friends, relaxing on her porch, and making unforgettable memories while traveling the upper peninsula with Vicky and their fur baby Rocky. Darla and Vicky were apart of many memories that their family will continue to hold onto dearly. Her contagious laugh at family gatherings will forever be missed.

Darla was welcomed into her next journey of life by her grandmother Dorothy Bennington and her father Richard Crowe.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2:00pm with friends and family welcomed at Darla and Vicky’s home ("The Crowe’s Nest") in Mio.
