Daniel Richard Strehle

Daniel Richard Strehle, age 53 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital in Grayling, Michigan on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

Dan was born in Pontiac, Michigan on September 9, 1967 to Robert and Maxine (Bentley) Strehle. He was the youngest of 6 children: Debra (Terry) Burns of Kalkaska, MI; Delma (Tim) Yost of West Branch, MI; Dale (Jalane) Strehle of Howard, OH; and Diane (Frank) Beek of Mio, MI; He is also survived by nephews Allan Strehle, Chad Yost, Adam Beek, Rob and Joshua Strehle; nieces Cathy Bills, Amanda Boyce, Shelly Weaver and Dayna Shaw; great-nieces Ayla and Alyson Beek, Sydnie and Mykenzie Weaver, Tynleigh Shaw, Cheyanne and Cailynn Christian, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Dan was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Maxine Strehle, 1 brother Douglas Strehle, and stillborn sisters Donna May and Denise Maxine Strehle.

Dan attended the Memphis School of Preaching in 1991 in Memphis, TN. After graduating, he preached in several different congregations of the Church of Christ. For the past three years, he has ministered at the Church of Christ in Mio. Dan also enjoyed working at the Verizon Store in Mio for the past 10+ years. He enjoyed golfing on a league and spending time playing games with friends. Dan taught himself to play guitar and enjoyed playing for family and friends. He also loved to cook and share his creations with family and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11 AM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan with Mr. Frank Beek officiating. Interment of ashes at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
