Daniel R. Hershberger

Daniel Hershberger, age 69 of Fairview, Michigan, passed away at The Home at Wellspring Lutheran Services on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
Daniel was born in Mio, Michigan on July 26, 1947 to Clifford and Hazel (Hawley) Hershberger. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Daniel was a member of the Loyal Riders and also the Oscoda County Pool League. He was a regular at the AuSable Restaurant where he liked sharing coffee with friends. He enjoyed bike riding and listening to Willie Nelson.
Daniel is survived by his 2 sons: Michael and Daniel Roe; his sister Carol Prentice of Fairview, MI; his uncles: Erwin and Bill Hawley; his aunts: Mable Starkey and May Cousins; 2 nieces: Naomi and Tina; his nephew Paul; 2 grandnephews: Richie & Aaron; and 1 great-grandnephew and 1 great-grandniece. He is also survived by his special friend Marlin Kauffman.
Visitation on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 1 – 3 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, with Funeral Services at 3 PM with Mr. Marlin Kauffman officiating. Military Honors will be offered by the Luzerne American Legion Post, Cremation will follow the services.
