Cynthia Jean Johnson

Cynthia J. Johnson, age 75 of Lewiston, Michigan, passed away at her home on Friday, November 7, 2025.

Cynthia was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 9, 1950 to Sylvester and Phyllis (Dixon) Ferris. She was raised in Roseville, Michigan and graduated from Roseville High School. She worked for a time at Uniroyal, then as a legal secretary for various law firms. She met Johnnie Johnson, Jr. and they were married on August 9, 1981. The couple first lived in Roseville, Michigan, then moved to Mt. Clemens, Michigan, before moving to Greenwood Township in Oscoda County in 1994. Cynthia retired, raised her family, and became a homemaker, animal lover, and a friend to all. She was a member of the Mio Seventh Day Adventist Church who loved her Lord and prayed that someday we will all meet at Heaven’s Pearly Gates. Her hobbies were crocheting, vegetarian cooking, and visiting family.

Cynthia is survived by her husband Johnnie Johnson, Jr.; her step-son Johnnie Johnson III; her son Jeffrey Wayne Johnson; her sisters Pamela Richardson and Janine Braman; her brothers Victor Ferris and Mike Ferris; her grandchildren: Brennon Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Karen Johnson, Paxton Eagle and Peyton Maloney; and her great-grandchildren: Raelynn Maloney, Braven Maloney, Kaevion Eagle and Khameron Eagle. She was preceded in death by Phyllis Ferris, Sylvester Ferris and Deborah Ecker.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
