Cory Rex Carlson

Cory Rex Carlson, age 50 of Mio, Michigan, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, October 22, 2018.

Cory was born at Grayling Mercy Hospital on October 4, 1968 to Patricia (Deyarmond) Carlson and the late Rex Carlson. He served in the US Army; 4 years active, serving time in Desert Shield and 4 years Reserved. Cory was employed by Cooper Standard Automotive for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family, who will miss him very much.

Cory is survived by his wife Wendy (Neeley) Carlson of Mio, MI; his daughters Kaitlyn and Karalyn Carlson of Mio, MI; and Kimberlyn (Carlson) and Bryce Robbins and his granddaughter Evelyn of Hubert, NC. He is also survived by his mother Patricia (Deyarmond) Carlson of Lewiston, MI; his stepmother Barbara Carlson of Painesdale, MI; and his sisters: Kelli (Carlson) and Mark Wysocki of Petoskey, MI; Traci (Carlson) Wasnock of Lewiston, MI; Nikki Carlson of Mason, MI; Heidi (Armstrong) Szymanski of Mio, MI; and Andi (Armstrong) and Brent Light of Fredericksburg, VA. He was preceded in death by his sister Christi Carlson, his son Austin Carlson, and his father Rex Carlson.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11 AM at TriPoint Church of God, Mio, Michigan with Pastor Jody Coon officiating, with Military Honors offered by the Luzerne American Legion Post #162.
