Cherie Belle Donnan

Cherie B. Donnan, age 91 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at The Home at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Fairview, Michigan on Friday, October 9, 2020.

Cherie was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 31, 1929 to Lowell and Elizabeth (Berney) Day. She owned and operated her own restaurant, Cherie’s Country Kitchen, for many years. She retired from Dial-A-Ride, and had many other jobs after retiring. Cherie loved her yard and her bushes and flowers; especially her huge rhododendron bush. She loved all of her children with all of her heart. She was an excellent cook and baker, and also loved to crochet. She made hats and scarfs and gave them to the people she cared about.

Cherie is survived by her children: Bruce & Peggy Uren, Sue (Uren) & Ron Eddy, Howard & Terri Uren, Jon & Jane Uren, and Jeff & Kathy Donnan; 12 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lowell Day, Jr., and her favorite sister-in-law Sophia (Sue) Day.

Visitation on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 4 – 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, and also on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 10 AM until Funeral Services at 11 AM with Mr. Jim Slasinski officiating. Interment will follow services at Kittle Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
