Charlotte Marilyn Peters

Charlotte M. Peters, age 97 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at her daughter’s home on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

Charlotte was born in Romulus, Michigan on September 18, 1922 to Wilbert and Edna (Von Moll) Thiede.  She married Alex Peters on August 15, 1942. The couple lived in Southgate, Michigan where Charlotte was a homemaker and cook.  She moved to Mio in 2003, following Alex’s death in 1996. She was a member of the Mio United Methodist Church.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter Sue (Nick) Kowaleski of Mio, Michigan; her granddaughter Kristie (Dave) Howarth; also Rob (Laurie) Armstrong and Mike Armstrong; her great-granddaughter Mackenzie; also Lillian and Ava; and her sister-in-law Zena Stroshine. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alex; her son Randy Peters; 2 brothers: Harold and Cliff; and 1 sister Shirley Kulawczyk.Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 1 -4 and 6 – 9 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan. She will also lie in state at the Mio United Methodist Church, Mio, Michigan, on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 10 AM until the Funeral Services at 11 AM with Pastor Brenda Klacking officiating. Interment will take place at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Flat Rock, Michigan.
