Charlotte Ann Hart-Priest

Charlotte Ann Hart, age 63 of Mio, Michigan, passed away on February 8, 2021. She was born on February 27, 1957 in Highland Park, Michigan. Charlotte was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph & Davidia Hart, loving mother of Michael, Daniel, and Kyle, grandmother to Brandon, Katelyn, and Johnathan, and dear sister of Bill (Susanna) Hart, John Hart, Shirley Giles, Joe (Tammy) Hart and Pete (Daina) Hart.

Raised in Detroit (most notably on McKinstry), Charlotte lived a lifetime of memories growing up with family and friends before moving to Mio and Lewiston with her three boys. She was a single mother who worked hard to make sure that her sons never went without. Charlotte worked full-time as a Manager for Wendy’s in nearby Grayling and Gaylord restaurants for many years, and always was able to support the boys in their many extracurricular activities, as well as attend them. She always took them on many adventures in and around Northern Michigan: trips to Lewiston Beach, Fourth of July parades down Main Street, Fireworks shows all over, fish fry dinners at the American Legion in Luzerne, visiting and staying with the kids’ grandparents, and many all-nighters following the yearly AuSable River Canoe Marathon, to name a few. Charlotte was a reader of Romance novels, loved Elvis, and watched far too much Hallmark Channel. "Snow" was a four-letter cuss word to her; she hated it! In her later years, Charlotte devoted her life to caring for her mother Davidia and her brother John. To John, Charlotte and her sister Shirley were and are "The greatest sisters anyone could ever have"; and her sons feel that Charlotte was the greatest mother a son could ever hope to have. She will be missed dearly.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
