Charles Rogers

Charles ""Chuck"" Rogers, age 72 of Comins, Michigan, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
Chuck was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 29, 1941 to Chester and Mabel (Hansen) Rogers.  He served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War as an Airman 2nd Class. Upon returning home, he worked at Selfridge ANG Base in Mt. Clemens, MI.  He worked most of his life as a sheet metal aircraft mechanic, retiring and moving to Comins from Mt. Clemens in 1995.  He was a member of the Comins Eagles Aerie #3544 and a Charter Member of the Fairview/Comins Lions Club.  Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, playing horseshoes, being involved with the Eagleâ??s activities, and spending time with his friends.
Surviving are his daughters: Sherri (Peter) Realy of Rochester Hills, MI; and Shannon (George) Gonzalez of Marlette, MI; his grandchildren: Crystal (Kevin) Miller of Crestview, FL; Amber (William) Sanders of Atoka, TN; Kyle Gonzalez and Kody Gonzalez; and 2 great grandchildren: Rainey and Willow Miller.  He is also survived by his sister Joyce Duley of Lansing, MI; brothers: Lou Rogers of Comins, MI and William Rogers of Greenville, TX;  his many nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kendall Seal, and his sister Doris Blassic.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering will be held at The Comins Eagles Club on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 1:00 PM.
