Charles Walter North

Charles Walter North, 76 years old, passed away December 18, 2015 at his home in Red Oak, Michigan. He was born August 8, 1939 in Ishpeming, Michigan and was the oldest of nine (9) children belonging to Walter and Madeline North. He spent his life serving others as a logger, policeman, fireman, Township Supervisor, volunteer and family man. He was married to his surviving wife of 53 years, Sherry Lynne Welkenbach of Wyndotte, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Grover and one sister Joyce. He is survived by his wife as well as his three (3) children: Judy North of Owosso, Michigan (grandchildren Nathan Dollar and Abby Dollar), Barb North of Mio, Michigan, (grandchildren Chelsea Keller and Angel Keller), Charles North Jr. of Reading, Michigan (wife Julie and granddaughter Isabella North). Also surviving are siblings Ellen Ellis, Jean Thompson, Jane Conklin, Ray North, Roy North, and Gary North along with four great-grandchildren (Leland, Hailey, Hayden and Willow). There will be a Celebration of Life to be scheduled in the future.
