Charles W. Balagna

Mr. Charles Walker ""Chuck"" Balagna, 68, of Comins, MI, formerly of Allen Park, MI passed away Thursday, May 28th, 2009 at Mercy Hospital, Grayling, MI.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2009 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, and again on Monday, June 2, 2009 from 11:00 AM-1:30 PM when a Celebration of Charles â?? Life will be held, officiated by his son-in-law, David DeSantis. Following the service, in accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place.
Charles was born on July 24, 1940 in Ypsilanti, MI to Charles John and Mary Louise (Walker) Balagna. He served his country in the US Navy Reserves. He was a retired Brick Mason for Detroit Edison. He and his wife Mary moved to Comins in 1995from Allen Park, MI. Chuck was a member of the Comins Eagles; the Lincoln Park Eagles; the Mio Moose Lodge; and the Lewiston American Legion. He will be remembered for his organizational skills, (HE LABELLED EVERYTHING!) his love of his family, especially his grandchildren; and his fondness for fishing, gardening, antiques and garage sales.
Surviving are his wife Mary; his children: C. Allan, Dean (Beth), Michael, James (Patrina), Victoria (David), and Scott. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family of Charles Balagna.
