Cecilia C. Kunnath

Cecilia Colleen Kunnath, 74, of Fairview, MI, passed away Tuesday, November 3rd, at MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw, MI. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 14, 1951, to the late Mildred (Reiman) and Frederick McGee.

Cecilia was a graduate of Servite High School, and graduated from the University of Michigan - Dearborn with an associate's degree in child care. She spent 30 years teaching preschool. Cecilia met Jerry Kunnath on December 7, 1969, and married March 25, 1972. They were married for 54 years. Cecilia and Jerry raised their children, Steve and Erin, in Royal Oak for 40 years, then retired to Fairview, MI. She enjoyed sewing, making jewelry, camping, and cooking. Cecilia loved her donkeys, Abbey and Gypsy, her dogs, Woody and Riley, and her cat, Emma.

Cecilia was a member of The Fairview Mennonite Church in Fairview, MI where she was involved in Sunday preschool and Bible Study. She enjoyed spending time with her pickle ball friends and lunch ladies.

Cecilia is survived by her husband, Jerry Kunnath, children, Steve (Holly) Kunnath and Erin (Colby) Wilson, sisters, Kathy (Jeff) Weiske and Mary Antone, brothers, Mike McGee and John (Dorothy) McGee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Charlotte Wilson, brother, Tim (Teri) McGee, brother, Dan McGee, and son-in-law, John Wilson.

A memorial will be held for Cecilia at the Fairview Mennonite Church in Fairview, MI at a later date.
