Mrs. Carole L. Hancock, age 85, of Red Oak, MI. passed away Sunday, December 7th, 2008 at West Branch Regional Medical Center.
Visitation Tuesday 1-5 and 7-9 PM. at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio. Funeral Services at the funeral home at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 10th with Pastor Russell Bowman officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery Fairview.
Carole was born on January 8, 1923 in Marianna, Arkansas to Henry & Mary (Loxam) Baynes. She married Justin S. Hancock on Dec 24, 1959 in Pontiac, MI.
She was a homemaker and had worked for The Oakland County Sheriff's Department in the 1950 and 60's.
Carole was a member of ""The Dirty Dozen"" Pool League and enjoyed playing horseshoes, gardening, crocheting and embroidery.
Surviving are her daughter Carole Lee Crook of Waterford, MI; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren along with many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 50 years, Justin S. ""Red"" Hancock, son Harwood ""Butch"" Gladding and 2 sisters: Mary L. (Lenny) Price and Marjorie Pentiuck.
