Carole Lee Adams

Carole Lee (Glassburn) Adams, age 82 of West Branch, Michigan, passed away into the presence of her Lord on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, after a continuing battle with health and dementia issues.

Carole was born in Columbus, Ohio in March of 1943 to Louie and Mary Glassburn. She was married to her husband Vern for 62 years. She shared 30 of those years with him and their Navy career. She loved being with him in the Navy and looked forward to the "New Set" of orders taking them to a new duty station. She loved meeting new people and made friends wherever they lived. She was known as a "Best Friend" to many.

Carole will be remembered by her family and friends as a beautiful, loving, caring and compassionate servant of her Saviour, Jesus Christ. She has been a child of His since 1970, when she first heard that "Ye Must Be Born Again", and she accepted His gift of salvation. She was active in Bus Ministry in 4 states: Michigan, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Florida. She also helped organize Bible Studies, Children Clubs, and Bus Ministries in Navy Facilities and in Navy Housing. Many came to know Jesus Christ through her ministry. Carole was quick and humorously funny. She could turn a solemn gathering of people in a doctor's waiting room into a street party; or put some life into an Office party with her wit. She will be sorely missed, but we True Believers know we will see her in the morning in her new home. We know it will be in the morning because there is no "Night" there.

Carole is survived by her husband Vernon "Bugs" Adams; her daughter Sharen Lynn Sawitzky; her daughter-in-law Lisa Adams; 7 grandchildren: Ryan and Emily Sawitzky, Nicole Sawitzky, Taylor and Tim Johnson, Tyler and Madisyn Sawitzky, Dylan Sawitzky, Griffin Adams, and Peyton Adams. She is also survived by a brother David (Jenny) and a sister Mary Kay. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Vernon "Scott" Adams.

There will be a grave side service for family, and a Memorial Service at the First Baptist Church of Lewiston at a later date.
