Carol F. Whittaker, age 78 of Luzerne, Michigan, passed away at Munson Grayling Hospital on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
Carol was born in Port Huron, Michigan on September 16, 1938 to Clifford and Bessie (Campbell) Leonhard. She was a market research analyst in Midland County. Carol retired in 1999, and moved to Luzerne from Edenville, Michigan. She was “Queen Bee” of the Red Hats; a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, President of the Luzerne American Legion Auxiliary, a Regent for the Mio Moose, and also served with the American Legion Color Guard.
Carol is survived by her husband Robert Whittaker of Luzerne, MI; her children: Kim (Tim) Myers of Midland, MI; Pamela Whittaker of San Diego, CA; and Mark Wixon of Port Huron, MI; 2 sisters, 1 brother, many grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Luzerne American Legion Auxiliary.
