Carol Ann Rickett

Carol A. Rickett, age 79 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw, Michigan on Thursday, October 25, 2018.

Carol was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 3, 1939 to Jacob and Anna (Niehl) Meier. She graduated from Dominican High School in Detroit. Carol married David Rickett on June 11, 1978. She moved to Mio in 1981 from Detroit. Carol was a member of the Mio Dummettes. She enjoyed playing cards, clipping coupons, and was an awesome cook. She loved "Christmas" and her display, and adored her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her children: Lynn Gorski of Mio, MI; Lisa Harper of Mio, MI; Lori Warren of Mio, MI; Jimmy Harper of Mio, MI; Tommy Harper of Memphis, TN; and Dave (Monica) Rickett of Mio, MI; her sisters: Jackie Sinnave, Sue Meier, and Debbie Keast; 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and 4 expected great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Rickett, her infant brother Jacob, and her sister Kathy Donohue and her granddaughter Carla.

Visitation on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 11 AM – 2 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, with Funeral Services at 2 PM with Pastor Joel Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
