Carol Lynn Rang

Carol Lynn Rang age 82, passed away unexpectedly October 28th at Grayling Mercy Hospital, She was surrounded by family. Carol was born September 4, 1940, in Caro, Michigan, to Estelle and Orville Wilson. Carol was an only child.
Carol was a 1957 graduate of Mio AuSable School, in which she was very involved in Band (clarinet).
Carol had many jobs throughout her adult life. but the one she loved most was the lunch money lady at the school. She loved the kids but also wouldn’t take any “crap” from them.
Carol loved to play golf and was an avid University of Michigan Wolverines fan. It didn’t matter what sport, if Michigan was on TV, she watched it. In the later years, one of her most loved and cherished things w as her dog, Peter. Not sure who loved whom more.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents. her husband of 62 years. Eugene, and her granddaughter. Erin Rang. She is survived by her children, Stanley Rang, of Mio and; Karen (Mark) Mayo, of Lewiston and; her grandson Steven Mayo, of Traverse City.
Per her wishes cremation has already taken place, There will be a graveside service held Wednesday. November 9th at the Luzerne Cemetery at 1:00.
