Carl W. Williams

Mr. Carl W. Williams, age 96, of Mio, passed away Thursday, July 7th, 2011 peacefully at The Home at AuSable Valley Community in Fairview.
Carl was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on December 19, 1914, the son of the late Milton and Mildred (Abbott) Williams. He was a retired chemist for a lithographic ink company. Carl retired to Mio, where he was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Helen Marie (LaBatt) Williams; children Martha Ellen Nelson, JoAnn Williams, Sue Elaine Nelson, John Williams and Mark Williams; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son Carl Williams.
In accordance with Carl's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mio. Private interment of ashes at Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery, Kalamazoo, MI.
