A Celebration of Life
With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the passing of our loving and gifted Breana Maria Perez. Breana was born on October twenty-seventh, 1998 to her mother, Rosita Maria Hurtado, and her father, David Perez. She passed on September seventeenth, 2025. Breana was looking forward to celebrating her golden birthday with a trip to Salem, Massachusetts with her loved ones. Breana loved that her birthday was a part of the Fall season. Although she loved the spookiness, her favorite color was pink. Breana grew up in Mio, Michigan. She was exceptional in school and excelled in sports: cheerleading, baton, and softball. She used her knowledge to coach Youth Cheerleading. Breana graduated from college with her Associate’s Degree in Business. At the age of twenty-five, she moved to Merrill, Michigan to further her career in Project Management for Heating and Cooling. Breana was loved by many and impacted so many lives. There wasn’t a person that she didn’t have an effect on. Her memory will live on through her family and friends. Breana was our shining star whose light will forever illuminate our lives. Her absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but her memory inspires us to fill the world with the joy, kindness, and love she embodied.
Breana leaves behind her parents: Rosita Hurtado and David Perez; her “Fur Baby” Ava; her sister Hilary Perez; her brothers Hunter Perez and Kyle Forbing; her significant other Roger Flansburg; and her godchildren: Ellie Stephens, Nessa Stephens, and Kendall Stephens. She will also be missed by her Aunt Kim “Homie K” (John); her best friends Tia Stephens and Kaitlyn Berry, Susan Carter, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her Grandpa Charles Hurtado, her Grandma Joyce Hurtado, her Aunt Tammy, and her Uncle Donald.
