Beverly Jo Lane

Beverly Jo Lane, beloved mother, wife and cherished friend, age 81 of Mio, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026 at home, surrounded with her family by her side.

Beverly was born in Saginaw, Michigan on May 13, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Rodney and Dorothy Sells. She grew up in New Lothrop and graduated from New Lothrop High School and from cosmetology school.

Beverly Lane was a dedicated Bus Driver for New Lothrop School District for many years. She had various jobs, but she was known for her kindness. She was giving, loving, honest, and grateful; and was committed to helping others.

Beyond her professional life, Beverly had a passion for camping, traveling, crafting, puzzles, and playing cards. She was an active member at the Grace Gospel Fellowship Church. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and creating cherished memories; such as singing karaoke with her husband and listening to her granddaughters Elena and Hanna sing.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years William Lane; her children: Robert Adams, Rodney Adams, and Paul Vargas (Amy); her grandchildren: Hanna Vargas (Tom Monroe), Elena Vargas, Olivia, Ty and Ryker. Other important people in her life were Rebecca Schanck, Kim Lewis, and Andrew & Mary Cantu. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her great-grandchildren Thomas and Jayda. Beverly will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
