Beverly Ann Abbe, 87, of Mio, MI, passed away Tuesday, July 1st, 2025. She was born on February 9, 1938 to the late Raymond and Helen (Rahnau) Hughes. Bev worked as a receptionist for the University of Wisconsin for many years. She will be known for her love of gardening, her beautiful collection of art, and her amazing sense of style. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, and was a great cook. Bev and her husband, Bud, were childhood sweethearts. After losing their spouses from their previous marriages, they were able to reconnect in 2021, and spend her remaining years together. She is survived by her husband, Vernon 'Bud' Abbe; children, Kevin (Patti) Knoche, and Michael Knoche; sisters; Phyllis (John) Servinski, Barb Miller, and Joan (Jim) Chartrand; brother, Ken (Jean) Hughes; granddaughters, Carly (Philip) Britt and Kaitlin Knoche; and great-granddaughter, Jeanette Britt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Keith Koenig. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 at Mio Baptist Church in Mio, MI with Rev. Glynn McMorris officiating. Family will greet friends starting at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM, with a luncheon to follow at the church.
