Betty Louise Neff

Betty Louise Neff, age 85, of Mio, MI, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at her residence.

Betty was born in Fairview, Michigan on August 12, 1931, a daughter of the late Susie Ellen (Hershberger) and Ernest Earl Stutesman. She served in the U.S. Air Force as a A/2C in the Korean War.

Betty Married James on May 5, 1956 in Grand Rapids, MI. The couple raised the family in Mio, where Betty worked as a payroll secretary for The US Forest Service for many years, retiring in 1995. Betty dearly loved her family, incuding her husband's family, planning get-togethers and reunions. She also enjoyed the open road and traveling with a cup of coffee in hand and will always be remembered as a great cook.

Betty is survived by her children: Toni (Kevin) Brusch of Mio; Tina (Robert) Johnson of Mio; Gary (Sue) Neff of Pittsburg, PA; Kirk (Kathy) Neff of Mio; Tammy Downing of Mio, Kevin Neff (Amy Brusch) of Durand, MI and Rick (Timberly) Neff of Durand, MI. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons Jimmy and Randy and her husband James in 2008.

Visitation Friday, August 11, 2017 from 1 - 4 and 6 - 9 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio.

Funeral Services at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 12, 2017 with Mr. Warren Stutesman officiating.

Interment at Fairview Cemetery Fairview, MI, with Military Honors offered by The Luzerne American Post #162.
