Betty Jane Keyser
Mrs. Betty Jane Keyser, 80, of Mio, died Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 at West Branch Regional Medical Center.
Visitation Thursday 1-9 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio. Funeral Services at the funeral home, at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 8th, 2007 with Pastor Russell Bowman of Mio New Hope Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment at Kittle Cemetery, Mio.
Betty was born on Sept. 1, 1926 in Bay City to the late Otto & Lucy (Tomczak) Steve. Betty was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of F.O.E., Aerie #1010, Bay City. She moved to Mio in 1979, where her and her late husband Earl, owned and operated the former Imperial Gas Station (next to Walker's Bar).
She was a homemaker and drove work crews for the Amish Community in the Mio area. She enjoyed reading, crocheting afghans and baby blankets and watching soap operas.
Surviving are her daughters: Cynthia (Tom) McKenzie of Fort Myers, FL; Brenda Brady of Mio and Sheila Howard (Russell Cassisi) of Mio; sisters: Lucille Newcomb, Lorraine (William) Trudell, Patricia (Robert) Quantz all of Bay City and Loretta (Thomas) Schindler of Auburn, 7 grandchildren: Butchie, Angela, Gary, Shelly, Raymond, Michelle and T.J., 11 great grandchildren: Robert, Chelsea, Ryan, Angel, Jessica, Breck, Whisper, Nicholas, Ashley, James and Sierra, and 1 great great grandson: Anthony. She is also survived by many brothers and sisters in law and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty was peceded in death by her parents, husband Earl Keyser, sisters Violet Everson and Corrine Schultz and brother Otto Steve.
