Betty Jane Duetsch

Betty Jane Duetsch, age 79, formerly of Curran, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, September 19, 2024. She was born April 6,1945 in Saint Clair, MI to the late John and Margaret (Schneider) Zoeplitz. Betty married James Stanley Duetsch at St Paul's Lutheran Church, Casco Twp, on June 22,1963. Betty was involved in many volunteer activities including Ladies Aide at St Paul's, Girl Scout leader and several community organizations. She also enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening, playing cards and dancing with Jim. Betty was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Betty is survived by her daughters Julie (Adam) Sydenstricker of White Sulphur Springs, WV, Lisa (Steve) Prunty of Bozeman, MT, Tracy (Steve) Weaver of Hale, MI. Her siblings Marion (Joe) Swartzinski of Ossineke and Kenneth (Ruth Ann) Zoeplitz of Saint Clair. Her 7 Grandchildren Jessica (Eric) Green, AJ (Reyn) Sydenstricker, Ashley (Tyler) Erdman, Xanthia, Zander, Zayne and Xavier Weaver. Her 7 Great- Grandchildren Destiny, John, Ethaniel, Isaac, Emma, Olivia and Peter. Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, daughter Susan, parents John and Margaret, her brother Alan, and great-granddaughter Aurora. A Memorial Service will be held at Lashley Funeral Home in Mio MI, Saturday October 12, 2024 Visiting will be at 11 am service at 12:00 pm With Pastor Brenda Klacking Officiating.  A Luncheon to follow at the Mitchell Twp Hall in Curran.
