Becky Jane King

February 13, 1939 — July 22, 2014

Becky Jane (Beaudry) King went home to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, the 22nd of July at 9:11 PM. She passed away in her home, as she had wanted, at the age of 75. She was born in Monroe, MI. on February 13th to John and Dorothy (Dills) Beaudry. In her younger years she was active with the Campfire Girls, became a lifeguard, and was attending college when she met her future husband, Joseph Hmoud. They had two children together, Lila Jane Anthony (Hmoud) who was born on January 23rd, 1964 and Terry Joseph Hmoud who was born on March 1st 1967. She became the president of the PTA at Shweitzer Elementary in Wayne-Westland during their childhood, and later on became a para-professional special education teacher for Wayne-Westland schools. Her husband, Joseph, passed away in 1984. In 1990 she married John King and together, they retired to Fairview in Northern Michigan which had been a lifelong dream of hers. In her later years she enjoyed being a driver for the Amish community, was a member of the Oscoda County Council On Aging, and was very active in her church where she loved playing the piano.
She is preceded in death by her Parents: John and Dorothy Beaudry; and her Husband: Joseph Hmoud.
She is survived by her Husband: John King; Children: Lila and Terry (Christine); Step-Children; Bobby, Diana, Elizabeth, Jenea, and Rebekah; Sister: Nikki (Frank); Grandson: Christopher; Step-Grandchildren: Gabe, Lexi, and others; Nephew: Aaron; and Neice; Darcy. She also leaves behind her beloved pets: Corky and Luke. She will be dearly missed by all.
Services will be performed at Lashley Funeral Home in Mio, MI. on Saturday the 26th.
The family viewing begins at 10:30 AM.
The public viewing begins at 11:00 AM and will last until 1:00 PM.
The Funeral begins at 1:00 PM.
Luncheon to follow at Elmer Township Hall (Kittle Hall) in Mio.
