Barbara Cook

Barbara Jean Cook, age71, of Comins, MI, formerly of Trenton, MI, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at her home.
Barbara was born on November 3, 1940 in Rochester, MI to Everitt and Edith (Gregson) Jackson. She married Herbert J. Cook on October 26, 1962 in Lincoln Park, Michigan.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and crocheting.  She won prizes for her work at the State Fair.  She also enjoyed going to the casinos, especially in Las Vegas.  Herbert and Barbara moved to Comins in 1989 from Trenton, Michigan.  She was a member of the Comins Eagles and had attended the Mio United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband Herbert J. Cook; her son Michael (Maureen) Cook of Trenton, MI; her 2 grandchildren: Christina Cook and Chad Cook; sisters: Evelyn Jackson of Flat Rock, MI and Beverly (Ray) Edens of California; brother-in-law Max Nemazi of Florida and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother-in-law Tom Jackson; and her sisters Madeline Jackson and Mary Nemazi.
Visitation Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio from 11:00 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bruce Billing officiating.  Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, MI.
