Barbara A. Allsteadt

Barbara Ann Allsteadt (Mroz), a long time resident of Wellspring Lutheran Services in Fairview, MI, born March 3, 1936  - died April 19, 2025 at 89 years old.
Her parents were Theophil (Ted) and Anna (Peggy) Mroz of Grosse Ile, MI
She is survived by her four children (Peg Pfaff, Thomas R., Rob, and Ed), eight grandchildren (Kristen, Kari, Lorene, Vincent, Rob Jr, Ed Jr, Matthew, and Luke), and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She gave up High School to volunteer at Wyandotte General Hospital. After her marriage to Thomas Allsteadt on Jan 17, 1959 she devoted her life to her family. After a divorce in the turbulent seventies, she supported herself and family as a waitress and bartender in and around Comins, MI. She created and opened a small gift shop/video rental business and retired to Texas, but soon returned to her beloved “Up North” where she spent the rest of her life. She will be sorely missed and may God have mercy on her soul.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
