Arthur Leroy Lantz

Mr. Arthur Leroy Lantz, age 73, of Mio, passed away Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 at his residence.
Visitation Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 11:00 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, with Pastor Kevin Salsbury of The Comins Mennonite Church, officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
Leroy was born on July 20, 1936 in Elmer Township to Harlen John & Delia Hazel (Tubbs) Lantz.
He served his country in the U.S. Army and married Elva May (Day) Lantz on April 7, 1962 in Mio. Leroy was a retired Mechanic from The Oscoda County Road Commission. He enjoyed making maple syrup, going to the casino, mushrooming and spending time in nature. His life touched many, many hearts.
Surviving are his children: Malinda Lantz, Melvin (Donna) Lantz, Melody (Gary) Kahanek, Melissa Lantz
and Matthew Lantz all of Mio; a sister, Mary McDowell of Mio, 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 expected great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elva; sisters: Esther Smith and Helen Brooks; brothers Loren, Melvin and Hilford Lantz.
