Mrs. Annie P. Dunn, age 85 of Fairview, formerly of Mio, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Home at AuSable Valley Community.
Visitation Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 4-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, and on Monday, October 19, 2009 from 10:00 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 AM at the Mio Church of God with Pastor Mike Stadelmayer officiating. Interment will follow at Kittle Cemetery.
Mrs. Dunn was born on January 7, 1924 to Walter & Ella Bell (Tinker) Camp in Hazard County Kentucky and was raised in Highland, Kentucky. Annie married Willie Dunn and the couple moved to Ypsilanti, MI in 1954 and settled in Mio in the late 1970's. Annie was a homemaker and had worked for Mather Plastics of Ypsilanti, assembling radio circuit-boards; she also made and sold ceramics from her home. She was a known artist, exhibiting and selling her oil landscapes paintings of historical landmarks at The Michigan Magazine Museum. Annie was also an author, teaching herself, while in her 70's, how to use a computer to write and market her two published books, recounting her life experiences. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, playing cards and board games. She will remembered by her family as being young at heart, always eager to be actively involved in play with her children and grandchildren.
Annie is survived by her children: Delores (Don) Faust of Fairview, Ml and Delbert (Trudy) Dunn of Ypsilanti, Ml; 11 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, her daughter Deborah Gail Deer, and husband Willie Dunn.
