Anna Gascho, age 98, of Fairview, MI, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at The Home at AuSable Valley Community in Fairview.
  
  Anna was born in Comins Township, MI on May 26, 1913 to John J. and Mary (Miller) Gascho, and was a lifelong resident of Oscoda County.  She had worked for McCoyâ??s IGA in Mio and for Fullerton Pharmacy in Fairview for over 30 years.  Anna was a lifetime member of the Fairview Mennonite Church.  She served the Lord in the volunteer ministries of Home Visitations, teaching Bible and Sunday School classes, also helping out with Womenâ??s Group activities. Anna enjoyed quilting, gardening, and reading. She especially enjoyed having guests over for meals, and spending time with her family and friends.
  
  Surviving are her sisters: Edith (Boyd) Rogers of Fairview and Millie (Willard) Bontrager of Mancelona; her brother Mahlon (Miriam) Gascho of Fairview; and 28 nieces and nephews.
  
  She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters: Elizabeth (George) Layman and Edna (David) Troyer, 1 brother Edwin (Edna) Gascho, 3 nephews and 2 nieces.
  
  Visitation Tuesday, May, 1, 2012 from 2-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, and again on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Mennonite Church with Pastors Brent Bontrager and Virgil Hershberger officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
