Ann Marie Bauers

Ann Marie Bauers, age 54, of ,Mio, passed away Thursday, October 17th, at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City, following a long battle with MS.

Ann was born in West Branch, Michigan on June 14, 1965, to Sally A. (Hunsberger) and Roy G. Brown. She graduated from Mio AuSable Schools and attended Kirtland Community College. and graduated from U of M , Dearborn, MI. Ann worked as a clerical secretary for Liaison Corp. of River Rougue, MI. She later moved to the Florida Keys area before settling back in Mio. Ann was a published freelance author of children's books, plays, magazine articles and greeting cards, both in print and on-line. She loved music and sports, especially baseball.

Surviving are her sister: Deana (George) Schanck of Fairview, brother Travis Brown of Mio; nieces and nephews: Jessica Jackson of Mio, Emilee (Mike) Chicha of Kingsley, Nicole (Kodie) Yoder of Comins, Kole (Becky) Schanck of Fairview and May-Lynn Brown of Mio; grand nieces and nephews: Raichel, Brooklynn, James, Michael, Shane and Anthony.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents and husband Dane Bauers.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering for family and friends, Saturday, October 26, 2019 1-4 PM, with a Celebration of Life ceremony and sharing at 3:00 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI.
