Angela Grace Kauffman-Delph,45, of Big Rapids (formerly of Fairview) passed away July 06, 2024 at Henry Ford hospital in Detroit where her 9 year battle with breast cancer ended.
Angie was born on August 25, 1978 to Thomas and Barbara Kauffman. She was the fifth and youngest to four older sisters. She attended Mio AuSable schools and Kirtland Community College of Nursing. She was a devoted nurse who loved her job and truly cared for her patients. For many years before becoming a nurse, Angela was a wild land fire fighter with the U.S. Forest Service, Mio Ranger District. She was on detail fighting fires in several states including Idaho, Nevada and Arizona. Angie loved spending time in nature hunting, fishing, going for walks and camping (especially in the U.P). She enjoyed exploring new places and traveling to tropical areas. She also enjoyed spending time with her daughter and her two cats. Her most rewarding accomplishment was raising her daughter and experiencing new things in life with her. She was so happy to see her grow and excel in life and seeing her daughter happy was her greatest joy. They enjoyed many adventures traveling to Florida, Virginia and Tennessee. They also lived in Washington state for a short period of time.
Angela is survived by her daughters Alayna of Big Rapids and Kaylee of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by her parents Tom Kauffman of Fairview and Barbara 'Frances' (Lawrence) Adams of Virginia, sisters Jewel (Eric) Micklash of Alcona county and Debbie (Lewis) Krupinski of Oscoda county plus many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends. Angela was preceded in death by her sisters Christine Kauffman and Lisa Brown and her nephew Kenneth Kalbfleisch.
There will be a memorial luncheon Saturday, August 10th, 2024 from 11:00-2:00 at the Fairview Mennonite Church. Those wishing to make contributions are asked to consider her daughter Alayna.
