Mrs. Alvina Mable Stitt, 92, of Fairview died Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007 at The Home at AuSable Valley Community, Fairview, Michigan. Visitation and Service will be at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI. visitation from 11 AM - 2 PM and service at 2 PM all on Saturday, May 26th. Pastor Andy Husmann officiating. Interment at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, MI.
Alvina was born in Saginaw, MI. August 21, 1914 to the late Claude and Louie Adams. She married Niel Stitt on January 14, 1951 in Indiana. Niel preceded her in death in 1997 after 46 years of marriage.
Surviving are her daughter Carol J. (Lloyd) Canute of Oscoda, her grandchildren; Claudia (Fred) Schiller of Oscoda, Mark (Patti) Canute of Roscommon, and Ken (Judy) Canute of Illinois; 6 Great Grandchildren and 3 Step Great Grandchildren; 6 Great Great Grandchildren; 7 Step Great Great Grandchildren; and One sister-in-law Bea Stitt.
Alvina is preceded in death by her parents, Husband Niel, two brother Dale and Clifford and one Sister Kathern.
