Alvin Edward Poster

Alvin Edward Poster, age 87, of Luzerne, MI, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018, at his residence.

Alvin was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 7, 1930, a son of the late Cecilia (Beaufait) and John Poster.

He served in the U.S. Navy. Alvin worked as a Pipe fitter for General Motors Chevrolet Spring and Bumper Plant in Livonia, retiring in 1985 he settled in Luzerne, in 1986. He was an avid hunter and was a member of the Mio Moose Lodge and The Luzerne American Legion Post.

He is survived by his children: Terry L. (Sue) Poster of Livonia, Loraine K. (Steve) Kovarik of Luzerne and Cheryl L. (Kirk) Schooley of Pinckney; sisters: Virginia, Loraine and Theresa; brothers: Donald and James. 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marilyn Poster and girlfriend Betty Jo Sanders.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial Service will be held at at later date.
