Alma S. Jantzi

Alma S. Jantzi, age 73, of Fairview, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at her home.

Visitation Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 5-8 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, and from 1 PM until Funeral Service on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Mennonite Church, Fairview, with Pastor Virgil Hershberger officiating. Interment follows at Kittle Cemetery, Mio.

Alma was born on August 8, 1936 in West Branch, MI to Aaron and Fannie(Stoltzfus) Jantzi. At the age of 2, the family moved to a farm north of Mio. She lived with her parents, and later with her brother on a small farm on Kneeland Road. Alma moved to the AuSable Valley Apartments in 2006. She accepted Christ as a teenager, and was a member of the Fairview Mennonite Church. Her testimony was that she wasnâ??t afraid to die because she had Jesus in her heart.

Alma is survived by her 3 sisters: Mary, Anna, and Edith Jantzi. She was preceded in death by her parents: Aaron and Fannie Jantzi, and her brother Wilbur.
