Alice M. Handrich

Alice Mary Handrich, age 58, of Fairview, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at her home.
Visitation Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 4-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI; and again from 10 A.M. until the time of Funeral Service at 11 A.M. on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Fairview Mennonite Church with Pastor Cody Gascho of the Praxis Church and Pastor Virgil Hershberger officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
Alice was born on February 23, 1952 in Bay City, Michigan to Alrey and Clotilda (Murringer) Miller. She lived in Fairview most of her life. She married David D. Handrich on September 16, 1980 in Mio. Alice loved and served Jesus her Savior faithfully. She was a member of the Praxis Church in Fairview. She had worked at the Fairview Coffee Shop, Annieâ??s Restaurant, and at the Home at AuSable Valley Community as a cook and in activities. Alice enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, cooking, hunting, and fishing. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Alice is survived by her husband David D. Handrich of Fairview; her children: Alrey (Monica) Handrich; Stacy (Gary) Young; Janet (Robert) Ehler; and Jacob Handrich, all of Fairview; her step-children: Wendy Handrich of Mio and Paulette Walker of Wixom; and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Leo and Sam Miller; and her sister Jean Miller.
